graphic design catalog   Catalog cover design     This is the painting that we chose a detail from to design the cover of the catalog.   Project We desiged the top picture to be the cover of a catalog of paintings for an art gallery. The catalog will showcase about 20 new paintings by the most popular artist represented by Rendez-vous Art Gallery. We have been contracted to design, produce and write the catalog. We are going to interview the artist via a translator (since he doesn't speak English) to gather information to write a biography to be included in the catalog. The client is planning to have between 1,500 and 3,000 full-colour copies of the catalog printed for the show, which is slated for the fall of 2002 in Vancouver. Our cover design was recently enthusiastically approved by the client. We were also assigned to name the show. We came up the name "Romantique" as a theme name, reflecting the art's romantic, European character. Client Rendez-vous Art Gallery
